RENT!

The Niagara Fine Arts Program, Inc. announces upcoming auditions for its 17^th Anniversary Season productions of Disney High School Musical 2 & RENT! 

Disney High School Musical 2, book by David Simpatico, songs by Matthew Gerrard and Robbie Nevil and David N. Lawrence and Faye Grennberg and Randy Petersen and Kevin Quinn and Jamie Houston and Andy Dodd and Adam Watts and Bryan Louiselle; Music Adapted, Arranged and Produced by Bryan Louiselle, is based on a Disney Channel Original Movie Written by Peter Barsocchini.

RENT, book, music and lyrics by Jonathan Larson, is a Pulitzer-prize winning Broadway musical based loosely on Puccini’s opera La Boheme.

Auditions are scheduled for Wednesday, June 2^nd and Thursday, June 3^rd.   They are open to anyone age 14 and above for Disney High School Musical 2, and anyone age 17 and above for RENT.   Auditions will begin each night at 6:00 pm in the music suite of Niagara Falls High School, 4455 Porter Road, Niagara Falls, New York 14305.

Participants must prepare a vocal selection of their choice.  Please bring a copy of the music for the accompanist.  Vocal auditions will take place between 6:00-7:30 pm.  Dance auditions will begin at 7:30 pm.  Everyone must participate in both the vocal and dance auditions.

Rehearsals for Disney High School Musical 2 will begin on Monday, June 9^th.  Disney High School Musical 2 will be presented at 7:00 pm on Thursday, July 15^th and Friday, July 16^th, as well as 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm on  Saturday, July 17^th in the Performing Arts Center of Niagara Falls High School, 4455 Porter Road, Niagara Falls, New York 14305.

The staff for this season’s production of Disney High School Musical 2  includes:

Gracie Schupp- Director & Choreographer, Donald Shrimpton - Music Director, Rich Meranto - Production Design and Raphael Santos – Costume Design.

The staff for this season’s production of RENT includes: Maureen A. Pusateri – Director, Gracie Schupp- Choreographer, Tom Vitello, Jr. - Music Director, Rich Meranto - Production Design and Melissa Seifert – Costume Design.

Disney High School Musical 2 and RENT are presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI, 412 West 54^th Street, New York, NY 10019.
